O Vice-Presidente Michel Temer chefiará a Delegação brasileira à XXI Reunião da Cúpula Ibero-americana de Chefes de Estado e Governo, em Assunção, que se realizará nos dias 28 e 29 de outubro.

A reunião será presidida pelo Paraguai e terá como tema central “Transformação do Estado e o Desenvolvimento”.

A Reunião de Cúpula deverá ressaltar a importância do Estado na definição de estratégias de desenvolvimento sustentável e no desenho de políticas públicas, inclusivas e participativas, para a superação da pobreza e da desigualdade social.

Os Chefes de Estado e de Governo deverão aprovar, ao final da XXI Cúpula, a Declaração de Assunção e o Plano de Ação de Assunção, o qual orientará os projetos de cooperação ibero-americana para o ano de 2012.

Vice-President Michel Temer will head the Brazilian Delegation to the 21^st  Meeting of the Ibero-American Summit, to be held on 28 and 29 October in Asunción.

The meeting will be chaired by Paraguay and the central theme is “Transformation of the State and Development”.

The Summit Meeting will highlight the importance of the State in defining sustainable development strategies and in designing inclusive and participative public policies in order to overcome poverty and social inequality.

The Heads of State and Government are also expected to approve, at the end of the 21^st Summit, the Asunción Declaration and the Asunción Plan of Action, which will guide the cooperation projects for 2010.
