O Ministro Celso Amorim realizará viagem oficial a Genebra, em 22 de novembro, quando participará da “Global South-South Development Expo 2010” e do Seminário "The Path Ahead for Trade: FTAs and the Multilateral Trading System in 2020".

Pela manhã, o Ministro Celso Amorim fará pronunciamento na abertura da terceira “Global South-South Development Expo”, sediada pela Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT) e organizada pela Unidade Especial para a Cooperação Sul-Sul do PNUD. O evento propiciará a apresentação e o intercâmbio de experiências e soluções para desafios enfrentados pelos países em desenvolvimento. A Agência Brasileira de Cooperação (ABC/MRE) apresentará o Programa Brasil-OIT para a Promoção da Cooperação Sul-Sul, iniciativa que ampara vários projetos de cooperação técnica internacional em temas como combate ao trabalho infantil e eliminação do trabalho forçado, seguridade social e saúde e segurança do trabalho.

O Ministro Celso Amorim e o Diretor-Geral da OIT, Juan Somavía, assinarão, no dia 22, Declaração de Intenções entre o Brasil e a OIT para a prestação de assistência humanitária a populações em situações de risco e para a promoção do trabalho decente.

No período da tarde, o Ministro participará, a convite da Presidente da Confederação Suíça, Doris Leuthard, de painel de alto nível em Seminário de Comemoração dos 50 anos da Associação Europeia de Livre Comércio (EFTA), que terá como tema o futuro das Associações de Livre Comércio e do Sistema Multilateral de Comércio.

Minister Celso Amorim will make an official trip to Geneva, on 22 November 2010, where he will attend the Global South-South Development Expo 2010 and "The Path Ahead for Trade: FTAs and the Multilateral Trading System in 2020" Seminar.
 
In the morning, Minister Celso Amorim will speak at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Global South-South Development Expo, hosted by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and organized by the UNDP Special Unit for South-South Cooperation. The event will make possible to show and exchange experiences and solutions for the challenges faced by developing countries. The Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC/MRE) will showcase the Brazil-ILO Program to Promote South-South Cooperation, an initiative that supports several technical international cooperation projects in areas such as the fight against child labor and elimination of forced labor, social security and health and job safety.
 
On the same day, Minister Celso Amorim and the ILO Director-General, Juan Somavía, will sign a Declaration of Intentions between Brazil and the ILO to provide humanitarian aid to peoples under risk and to promote decent labor.
 
In the afternoon, at the invitation of the President of the Swiss Confederation, Doris Leuthard,  Minister Amorim will take part in a high-level panel of a Seminar on the future of Free Trade Associations and the Multilateral Trade System, to be held in celebration of 50 years of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
