O Ministro Antonio de Aguiar Patriota realizará, em 7 de fevereiro, visita de trabalho a Caracas, ocasião em que manterá encontro com o Ministro das Relações Exteriores da Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro.

Os dois Chanceleres examinarão temas bilaterais – incluindo o andamento de projetos nas áreas de habitação, agricultura, indústria, energia e desenvolvimento fronteiriço –, bem como aspectos da agenda regional, com ênfase no fortalecimento da UNASUL.

Há forte presença de empresas brasileiras na Venezuela, notadamente nas áreas mineral e de construção civil. O fluxo do comércio bilateral chegou a US$ 4,68 bilhões em 2010, o que representa aumento de 9,52% com relação a 2009. O saldo comercial é favorável ao Brasil, tendo alcançado mais de US$ 3 bilhões no ano passado, quando a Venezuela foi responsável por 15% do superávit brasileiro total. Atualmente, o Brasil é o 3º parceiro comercial da Venezuela.

Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota will make a working visit to Caracas, where he will hold a meeting with the Minister of External Relations of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro. 

The Foreign Ministers will go over bilateral affairs – including ongoing projects in areas such as housing, agriculture, industry, energy and development in the border area -, in addition to issues in the regional agenda, with special attention to the strengthening of UNASUR.  

There is a strong presence of Brazilian companies in Venezuela, especially in areas such as mining and civil construction.  Bilateral trade flow reached US$ 4.68 billion in 2010, a 9.52% increase from 2009.  The balance of trade is favorable to Brazil, surpassing US$ 3 billion last year, when Venezuela accounted for 15% of Brazil’s total surplus.  Brazil is currently Venezuela’s 3^rd top trading partner.
