O Secretário-Geral da Organização dos Estados Americanos (OEA), José Miguel Insulza, visitará o Brasil no dia 22 de fevereiro.

O Secretário-Geral da OEA será recebido pela Senhora Presidenta da República, Dilma Rousseff, e manterá encontro de trabalho com o Ministro Antonio de Aguiar Patriota.

Na ocasião, deverão ser examinados pontos da agenda regional, com ênfase no tema da “segurança cidadã”, escolhido para pautar os debates da próxima Assembléia-Geral da Organização, a realizar-se em El Salvador, no mês de junho. Será reafirmado o compromisso do Brasil com a OEA como instrumento para o desenvolvimento, o fortalecimento da democracia e a promoção e a proteção dos direitos humanos nas Américas.

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States, José Miguel Insulza, to visit Brazil – Brasília, 22 February 2011

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, will visit Brazil on 22 February 2011.

The OAS Secretary General will be received by the President of the Republic, Dilma Rousseff, and will have a working meeting with Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota.

On the occasion, they will go over issues in the regional agenda, focusing on the theme of “Citizen Security in the Americas”, chosen to direct the debates within the Next General Assembly of the Organization, to be held in El Salvador on June 2011. Brazil will reaffirm its commitment to OAS as an instrument for the development, the strengthening of democracy and the promotion of the human rights in the Americas.
