O Primeiro-Ministro do Estado do Kuaite, Xeque Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, realiza, de 20 a 25 de julho, visita oficial ao Brasil, a primeira de um Chefe de Governo daquele país. Integram a delegação os Ministros dos Negócios Estrangeiros, das Finanças e do Comércio e Indústria.
No dia 22 de julho, o Primeiro-Ministro terá reunião de trabalho com o Presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Na ocasião, serão assinados acordo sobre serviços aéreos e memorando de entendimento sobre cooperação esportiva. O Xeque Al-Sabah e delegação visitarão também São Paulo e o Rio de Janeiro.
O Primeiro-Ministro estará acompanhado de numerosa comitiva empresarial, inclusive os Diretores da Autoridade de Investimentos do Kuaite e do Fundo Kuaitiano para o Desenvolvimento Econômico Árabe.
O comércio bilateral, que somava cerca de US$ 87 milhões em 2002, chegou a US$ 652 milhões em 2008. No ano passado, como resultado da crise econômica internacional, as trocas recuaram para US$ 373 milhões. Em 2010, o fluxo comercial do primeiro semestre já ultrapassa os US$ 234 milhões.

The Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, will make an official visit to Brazil from July 20 to 25, 2010, the first visit of a Kuwaiti Head of Government to the country. The delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Trade and Industry.
On July 22, the Prime Minister of Kuwait will hold a working meeting with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. On the occasion, an agreement on air services and a memorandum of understanding on sports cooperation will be signed. Sheikh Al-Sabah and his delegation will also visit São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
The Prime Minister of Kuwait will be accompanied by a large business delegation, which includes the Directors of the Kuwait Investment Authority and of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
Bilateral trade, which amounted to US$87 million in 2002, reached US$652 million in 2008. Last year, due to the international economic crisis, trade declined to US$373 million. In 2010, trade flow has already surpassed US$234 million.
