O Primeiro-Ministro da Turquia, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, realizará visita ao Brasil de 26 a 29 de maio, acompanhado do Ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros, Ahmet Davotoglu, e do Ministro do Comércio Exterior, Zafer Caglayan, além de expressiva delegação empresarial.

No dia 26, em São Paulo, o Primeiro-Ministro da Turquia visitará a EMBRAER e a FIESP; inaugurará o Consulado-Geral da Turquia; e se encontrará com representantes da comunidade turca. Participará, ainda, do encerramento do Fórum Empresarial Brasil-Turquia.

No dia 27, em Brasília, o Primeiro-Ministro Erdogan será recebido pelo Presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Deverão ser discutidos temas da agenda bilateral, bem como questões regionais e assuntos de interesse comum da agenda internacional. Na ocasião, serão assinados, além do Plano de Ação da Parceria Estratégica Brasil-Turquia, atos bilaterais de cooperação nas áreas aduaneira, agrícola, sanitária e fitossanitária, bem como acordo para evitar a dupla tributação.

No dia 28, no Rio de Janeiro, o Primeiro-Ministro da Turquia participará da abertura do III Fórum da Aliança de Civilizações e visitará a PETROBRÁS.

O intercâmbio comercial entre o Brasil e a Turquia passou de US$ 268 milhões, em 2002, para US$ 1,15 bilhão, em 2008, o que representou um crescimento de 330%. O fluxo comercial bilateral foi pouco afetado pelos efeitos da crise financeira internacional e, em 2009, manteve-se pouco acima do patamar de US$ 1 bilhão.

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to visit Brazil – São Paulo, Brasília and Rio de Janeiro, May 26 to 29, 2010

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will visit Brazil from May 26 to 29, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmet Davotoglu, and the Minister of Foreign Trade, Zafer Caglayan, in addition to a significant business delegation.

On May 26, in São Paulo, the Turkish Prime Minister will visit EMBRAER and FIESP; he will open the Consulate-General of Turkey; and meet with representatives from the Turkish community. He will also take part in the closing ceremony of the Brazil-Turkey Business Forum.

On May 27, in Brasília, Prime Minister Erdogan will be received by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. They will go over issues in the bilateral agenda, as well as regional and common interest affairs in the international agenda. During the visit, in addition to the Brazil-Turkey Strategic Partnership Action Plan, cooperation agreements in the customs, agricultural, sanitary and phytosanitary areas will be signed, as well as an agreement to avoid double taxation.

On May 28, in Rio de Janeiro, the Prime Minister of Turkey will take part in the opening ceremony of the 3rd Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations and visit PETROBRAS.

Trade exchange between Brazil and Turkey rose from US$ 268 million, in 2002, to US$ 1.15 billion in 2008, a 330% growth. Bilateral trade flow was little affected by the international financial crisis and remained slightly above US$ 1 billion in 2009.
