O Ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros da Nova Zelândia, Murray McCully, realizará visita ao Brasil, em 13 e 14 de agosto. Trata-se da primeira visita do Ministro McCully, que assumiu o cargo em novembro de 2008.
Durante reunião de trabalho com o Ministro Celso Amorim, que terá lugar em São Paulo, no dia 13, serão examinados temas da agenda bilateral, como comércio, investimentos, intercâmbio de estudantes e o fluxo de turistas nos dois sentidos. Na oportunidade, também serão discutidos os principais temas da agenda multilateral.
A visita do Ministro McCully deverá ser seguida de visita ao Brasil do Ministro do Comércio Exterior, Tim Groser, possivelmente em outubro próximo.
O Brasil recebeu, entre 2005 e 2009, US$ 66 milhões em investimentos diretos provenientes da Nova Zelândia. Em 2009, o intercâmbio comercial entre os dois países alcançou US$ 92 milhões, dos quais US$ 40 milhões corresponderam a exportações brasileiras. De janeiro a junho de 2010, as trocas bilaterais somaram US$ 34 milhões.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, Murray McCully, will visit Brazil on 13 and 14 August, 2010.  It is the first visit of Minister McCully, who was nominated to the position in November 2008.  

During the working meeting with Minister Celso Amorim, to be held in São Paulo on 13 August, they will go over affairs in the bilateral agenda, such as trade, investments, exchange students and tourist flow in both directions.  On the occasion, they will also address the main issues in the multilateral agenda.

Minister McCully’s visit to Brazil should be followed up by the visit of the Minister of Foreign Trade, Tim Groser, possibly in the coming October.

Between 2005 and 2009, Brazil received US$ 66 million in direct investment from New Zealand.  In 2009, trade exchange between the two countries reached US$ 92 million, of which US$ 40 million were Brazilian exports.  From January to June 2010, bilateral exchanges amounted to US$ 34 million.
