O Ministro das Relações Exteriores do Peru, Rafael Roncagliolo, realizará visita ao Brasil no dia 31 de outubro, quando será recebido pelo Ministro das Relações Exteriores, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota. Será a primeira visita oficial do Chanceler peruano ao Brasil.

Os Chanceleres examinarão os principais temas da agenda bilateral, com ênfase na definição de diretrizes para a cooperação em programas sociais e no combate às drogas e aos ilícitos transfronteiriços. Tratarão, também, de temas regionais, em particular aqueles associados ao fortalecimento da UNASUL.

Serão assinados acordos bilaterais de cooperação técnica nas áreas de TV digital, promoção do emprego, combate ao crime organizado, desenvolvimento social e saúde.

De 2009 a 2010, o Brasil passou de oitavo para quinto maior investidor direto no Peru, com estoque de investimentos de US$ 1,2 bilhão. Sobressaem os setores de mineração, infra-estrutura, produção e distribuição de petróleo e gás. Para os próximos cinco anos, somente no setor de mineração, estão previstos mais de US$ 3,5 bilhões em investimentos.

O intercâmbio comercial entre Brasil e Peru passou de pouco mais de US$ 700 milhões, em 2003, para quase US$ 3 bilhões, no ano passado, posicionando o Brasil como o 3º maior parceiro do Peru.

The Minister of External Relations of Peru, Rafael Roncagliolo, will visit Brazil on 31 October, when he will be received by the Minister of External Relations, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota.  It will be the first official visit of the Peruvian Foreign Minister to Brazil.

The Foreign Ministers will address the main issues in the bilateral agenda, with special attention to the definition of guidelines for cooperation on social programs and the combat to drugs and transboundary crimes.  They will also discuss regional affairs, especially those related to strengthening UNASUR. 

Bilateral technical cooperation agreements will be signed on digital television, jobs promotion, combat to organized crime, social development and health.

From 2009 to 2010, Brazil went from 8th to 5th largest direct investor in Peru, with an investment stock of US$ 1.2 billion. The noteworthy sectors are mining, infrastructure and oil and gas production and distribution.  For the next five years, in the mining sector alone, there are US$ 3.5 billion in expected investments.

Trade exchange between Brazil and Peru went from a little over US$ 700 million, in 2003, to nearly US$ 3 billion last year, making Brazil Peru’s 3rd biggest partner.
