A convite do Ministro Celso Amorim, a Secretária de Relações Exteriores do México, Embaixadora Patricia Espinosa, realiza visita de trabalho a Brasília em 4 de agosto.

Os Ministros deverão abordar temas da agenda bilateral, com destaque para o Acordo Estratégico de Integração Econômica entre o Brasil e o México. Examinarão, ainda, temas de interesse regional, tais como o andamento do processo de conformação da Comunidade dos Estados Latino-Americanos e Caribenhos (CELAC) e a situação em Honduras.

No que tange aos assuntos multilaterais, os Chanceleres deverão avaliar as perspectivas para a 16ª Conferência das Partes (COP-16) da Convenção-Quadro das Nações Unidas sobre Mudança do Clima (UNFCCC) e a 6ª Reunião das Partes no Protocolo de Quioto (CMP-6), que se realizarão em Cancún, entre 29 de novembro e 10 de dezembro. A esse respeito, a Secretária de Relações Exteriores mexicana também manterá encontro de trabalho com a Ministra do Meio Ambiente, Izabella Mônica Vieira Teixeira.

No primeiro semestre de 2010, o intercâmbio comercial entre o Brasil e o México alcançou cerca de US$ 3,5 bilhões, com aumento de 43% em relação ao mesmo período de 2009. As exportações brasileiras já ultrapassam US$ 1,7 bilhão em 2010.

At the invitation of Minister Celso Amorim, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Ambassador Patricia Espinosa, is making a working visit to Brazil on August 4, 2010.

The Ministers will address issues in the bilateral agenda, focusing on the Brazil-Mexico Strategic Agreement for Economic Integration. They will also go over regional issues, such as the establishment process of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the situation in Honduras.

Having regard to multilateral affairs, the Foreign Ministers will assess the outlooks for the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP-16) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and for the 6th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP-6), both to be held in Cancun, from November 29 to December 10, 2010. On this issue, the Mexican Foreign Secretary will also hold a working meeting with the Minister of Environment, Izabella Mônica Vieira Teixeira.

In the first semester of 2010, trade exchange between Brazil and Mexico reached approximately US$ 3.5 billion, a 43% increase in comparison with the same period in 2009. Brazilian exports have already surpassed US$1.7 billion in 2010.
