Visita ao Brasil da Administradora-Geral do PNUD, Senhora Helen Clark
A Administradora-Geral do Programa das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento (PNUD), Helen Clark, realiza visita a Brasília nos dias 28 e 29 de julho. A Senhora Clark foi Primeira-Ministra da Nova Zelândia entre 1999 e 2008. (English version available after the Portuguese original)
No dia 28, Helen Clark foi recebida pelo Ministro da Saúde, Dr. José Gomes Temporão, com quem assinou Memorando de Entendimento para avançar a cooperação entre o PNUD e o Ministério da Saúde no Haiti. Encontrou-se também com o Secretário-Geral do Itamaraty e Ministro, interino, das Relações Exteriores, Embaixador Antonio de Aguiar Patriota.
No dia 29, será recebida pela Ministra do Meio Ambiente, Izabella Teixeira. Participará, no Palácio Itamaraty, de mesa redonda sobre cooperação Sul-Sul, coordenada pela Agência Brasileira de Cooperação (ABC), com presença de alguns dos principais parceiros da ABC – entre eles, Embrapa, Senai e Fiocruz - na cooperação técnica prestada pelo Governo brasileiro. O Subsecretário-Geral de Cooperação e Promoção Comercial do Itamaraty, Embaixador Ruy Nogueira, oferecerá almoço para a Administradora-Geral do PNUD, com presença da Ministra do Desenvolvimento Social, Márcia Lopes, da Ministra-Chefe da Secretaria de Políticas para as Mulheres, Nilcea Freire, e do Ministro-Chefe da Secretaria de Assuntos Estratégicos, Embaixador Samuel Pinheiro Guimarães.
Em seguida, Helen Clark será recebida pelo Ministro das Relações Exteriores, Embaixador Celso Amorim, com quem assinará Acordo-Quadro reforçando a parceria entre o PNUD e o Governo brasileiro, tanto na cooperação recebida quanto na cooperação prestada pelo Brasil a países em desenvolvimento.

Visit of the UNDP Administrator, Helen Clark, to Brazil – Brasília, July 28 and 29, 2010
The Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Helen Clark, is visiting Brazil on July 28 and 29, 2010. Ms. Clark was the Prime Minister of New Zealand between 1999 and 2008.
On July 28, Helen Clark was received by the Minister of Health, Dr. José Gomes Temporão. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster the cooperation between the UNDP and the Ministry of Health in Haiti. She also met with the Secretary General of Itamaraty and Acting Minister of External Relations, Ambassador Antonio de Aguiar Patriota.
On July 29, Ms. Clark will be received by the Minister of Environment, Izabella Teixeira. At Palácio Itamaraty, she will attend a round table on South-South Cooperation, held by the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), with the participation of some of the main ABC’s partners in the technical cooperation offered by the Brazilian Government, such as Embrapa (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), Senai (National Service for Industrial Training) and Fiocruz (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation). The Undersecretary for Cooperation and Trade Promotion of Itamaraty, Ambassador Ruy Nogueira, will offer a luncheon to the UNDP Administrator, to be attended by the Minister of Social Development, Márcia Lopes, by the Minister-in-Chief of the Special Secretariat of Policies for Women, Nilcea Freire, and by the Minister-in-Chief of the Secretariat for Strategic Affairs, Ambassador Samuel Pinheiro Guimarães.
After that , Helen Clark will be received by the Minister of External Relations, Ambassador Celso Amorim. They will sign a Framework Agreement reinforcing the partnership between the UNDP and Brazil, both in received cooperation and in cooperation offered by the Brazilian government to developing countries.
