O Presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva realizará visita a Bogotá, em 6 e 7 de agosto, para participar das cerimônias de posse do Presidente-eleito da Colômbia, Juan Manuel Santos.

No dia 6, o Presidente Lula participará de jantar oferecido pelo Presidente Álvaro Uribe às autoridades estrangeiras convidadas.

A visita do Presidente a Bogotá demonstra a prioridade conferida pelo governo brasileiro ao aprofundamento das relações com a Colômbia e com a América do Sul. Brasil e Colômbia mantêm intenso intercâmbio em diversas áreas, tais como meio ambiente, integração fronteiriça, investimentos e comércio.

De janeiro a junho de 2010, o intercâmbio bilateral somou US$ 1,4 bilhão, com crescimento de 12% em relação a igual período de 2009. As exportações brasileiras no semestre alcançaram US$ 991 milhões, ao passo que nossas importações oriundas da Colômbia atingiram US$ 448,8 milhões.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to travel to Colombia and attend the Inauguration Ceremonies of President-elect Juan Manuel Santos - Bogota, August 6 and 7, 2010

On August 6, President Lula will attend a dinner offered by President Álvaro Uribe to the invited foreign officials.

The President’s visit to Bogota shows the priority assigned by the Brazilian Government to strengthening relations with Colombia and with South America.  Brazil and Colombia maintain a thriving exchange in several areas, such as the environment, border integration, investments and trade. 
 
From January to June, 2010, bilateral exchange totaled US$ 1.4 billion, a 12% increase with regard to the same period in 2009.  Brazilian exports in the first semester reached US$ 991 million, whereas imports from Colombia amounted to US$ 448.8 million.
