O Governo brasileiro manifesta ao Governo e ao povo da República da Turquia sua solidariedade e as mais sinceras condolências pelas perdas humanas causadas pelo terremoto de 7,2 graus na escala Richter que atingiu a Província de Van no dia 23, causando centenas de mortes e destruição no leste do país.

Em telefonema hoje, 24 de outubro, para o Chanceler da Turquia, Ahmet Davutoglu, o Ministro das Relações Exteriores, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, transmitiu ao Governo da Turquia a pronta disposição do Brasil de prestar assistência emergencial e colaborar com os esforços de reconstrução.

The Brazilian Government expresses its solidarity and its most sincere condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Turkey on the human losses caused by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the Province of Van on October 23, causing hundreds of deaths and destruction in the eastern area of the country.

On a telephone call today, 24 October, to the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, the Minister of External Relations, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, has conveyed to the Government of Turkey Brazil’s readiness to provide emergency assistance and collaborate with rebuilding efforts.
