O Governo brasileiro está acompanhando, com grande alegria, o transcurso do resgate dos trabalhadores confinados na mina de San José, no Chile.

O Presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva conversou, na manhã de hoje, com o Presidente Sebastián Piñera, a quem transmitiu seus cumprimentos e a solidariedade do povo brasileiro. O Ministro Celso Amorim telefonou ao Ministro das Relações Exteriores do Chile, Alfredo Moreno, a fim de cumprimentá-lo pelo bom andamento do resgate.

Ao destacar a coragem demonstrada pelos mineiros e a competência do Governo chileno na condução de complexa operação de socorro, o Governo brasileiro transmite às autoridades e ao povo chilenos e, em particular, aos trabalhadores resgatados, seus familiares e às equipes de salvamento, as mais fraternas felicitações pelo êxito da operação.

The Brazilian Government has been following with great joy the rescue operation of the workers trapped in the San Jose mine, in Chile.  

This morning, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva spoke with President Sebastián Piñera, to whom he expressed his compliments and the solidarity of the Brazilian people.  Minister Celso Amorim called the Minister of External Relations of Chile, Alfredo Moreno, to congratulate him on the ongoing successful rescue.

In noting the courage showed by the miners and the competence of the Chilean Government in carrying out the complex rescue operation, the Brazilian Government conveys to the officials and people of Chile, and in particular to the rescued workers, their families and the rescue teams, our most fraternal congratulations on the successful operation.
