Testemunhei em diversas ocasiões a importante contribuição do Presidente Kirchner para que nossos países pudessem consolidar sua aliança estratégica e, juntos, avançar no fortalecimento do Mercosul. Como Secretário-Geral da Unasul, Néstor Kirchner promoveu habilmente a conciliação e a defesa da democracia em nosso continente.

Neste momento de perda e de luto nacional, envio minha solidariedade e minhas mais fraternas condolências à Presidenta Cristina Fernández de Kirchner e familiares, a Vossa Excelência e a todos os argentinos.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of the Unasur Secretary-General and former President of Argentina, Néstor Kirchner.

On several occasions, I witnessed the significant contributions made by President Kirchner for our countries to advance their strategic alliance and further strengthen Mercosur. As Unasur Secretary-General, Néstor Kirchner skillfully promoted conciliation and democracy in our continent.

In this moment of national loss and mourning, I convey my solidarity and my heartfelt condolences to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and family, to Your Excellency and to all Argentineans.
