Estabelecimento de relações diplomáticas com a República das Ilhas Marshall / Establishment of Diplomatic Relations with the Republic of the Marshall Islands

Por meio de Comunicado Conjunto subscrito em 27 de julho do corrente, em Nova York, pelos respectivos Representantes Permanentes junto às Nações Unidas, o Brasil e as Ilhas Marshall estabeleceram relações diplomáticas, conforme as disposições da Convenção de Viena sobre Relações Diplomáticas, de 1961.
A iniciativa inscreve-se no esforço do Governo brasileiro de valorizar e aprofundar as relações com os países do Pacífico Sul.

By means of a Joint Statement signed on July 27, 2010, in New York, by their respective Permanent Representatives to the United Nations, Brazil and the Marshall Islands established diplomatic relations, pursuant to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
The initiative is part of the Brazilian Government’s effort to value and deepen its relationship with the countries of the South Pacific.
