Republic of Chad
Diplomatic relations between Brazil and Chad were established in 1996. Brazil has no resident representation in the capital of Chad, the Embassy of Brazil in Yaoundé (Cameroon) being cumulatively responsible for monitoring the relations with Chad.
Cooperation in agriculture is one of the central areas of the bilateral relations. Chad is one of the beneficiaries of the Cotton-4 Project, a Brazilian project aimed at increasing cotton production in Chad, Mali, Benin, and Burkina Faso.
