Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal
Brazil and Nepal established diplomatic relations in 1976. There are resident Embassies in Kathmandu and in Brasilia. Potential for bilateral cooperation in areas like agriculture, education, tourism, energy and health has been identified. In 2009, Nepalese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Upendra Yadav, visited Brazil and was received by Foreign Minister Celso Amorim.
