Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota will make a working visit to La Paz in March 25, 2011, when he will hold a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, David Choquehuanca.
They will go over issues in the bilateral, regional and multilateral agendas. In the bilateral agenda, they will focus on border integration, agricultural production, energy integration and fight against the global drug problem.
The Foreign Ministers will sign Complementary Agreements to the Brazil-Bolivia Basic Agreement on Technical, Scientific and Technological Cooperation in the areas of professional training and agricultural and livestock production. An agreement will be signed by exchange of Notes to create Integration Committees in border areas.
Brazil is Bolivia’s main trade partner. In 2010, trade exchange reached US$3.3 billion, an increase of 32% in relation to 2009.
