Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota will make a working visit to Bogota on February 4, when he will meet with the Minister of External Relations of Colombia, Maria Ángela Holguín.
Both Foreign Ministers will review the bilateral cooperation agenda and political dialogue. They will also exchange views on regional issues, with special attention to the strengthening of UNASUR, as well on as global affairs, especially in light of Brazil’s and Colombia’s participation in the United Nations Security Council.
Bilateral trade reached US$ 3.27 billion in 2010, an 89.9% increase from 2009. Brazil is Colombia’s fourth largest supplier, with US$ 2.19 billion in exports to that country in 2010, a 21.9% growth in relation to 2009. For the first time, Colombian exports to Brazil reached the US$ 1 billion figure.
