The Minister of External Relations, Luiz Alberto Figueiredo Machado, will visit the Republic of Argentina on September 19, 2013. In Buenos Aires he will be hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina, Héctor Timerman, and will meet with the Minister of Federal Planning, Public Investment and Services, Julio de Vido. This will be the first bilateral visit of the Brazilian foreign minister since he took office on August 28, 2013.
In his meetings with the Argentine authorities, Minister Luiz Alberto Figueiredo Machado will reaffirm Brazil's commitment to the purposes of the strategic alliance between the two countries. He will also review the major bilateral themes and address issues of common interest on the global and regional agenda, in particular the MERCOSUR.
