The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luiz Alberto Figueiredo Machado, will host a work meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Alfredo Jaime Miranda Flamenco, in Brasilia on November 1.
The Ministers will examine the main themes on the bilateral agenda, in particular issues related to trade, investment, cooperation and development support. Brazil and El Salvador have cooperation projects in the areas of agriculture, social development, labor and employment, planning, health and safety.
On the occasion, complementary agreements to complete two new bilateral cooperation projects in the areas of planning and territorial management and family farming will be signed.
Trade between Brazil and El Salvador grew by 109% between 2003 and 2012. In 2012 manufactured products represented 85% of Brazilian exports to that country.
