President Dilma Rousseff will visit Peru on November 11, when she will be hosted by the Peruvian President Ollanta Humala. The visit marks ten years of Brazil-Peru Strategic Alliance, launched in 2003.
The Presidents will address the main issues on the bilateral agenda, with an emphasis to strengthening cooperation in areas such as infrastructure integration, social issues and trade relations. They will also address regional subjects, with particular attention to UNASUR.
President Dilma Rousseff will participate, on the same day, in the opening session of the Brazil-Peru Business Forum, which will bring together business leaders from both countries.
Brazil is currently the third largest trading partner of Peru. From January to September 2013, bilateral trade increased by 8.8% compared to the previous year, reaching US$ 2.9 billion. Peru is the third largest destination for Brazilian investments in South America, with US$ 1.9 billion in stock.
