The President of the Republic will host, on June 16, the President of the Republlic of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos, on an official visit to Brazil. The meeting in Brasília will provide na opportunity for examning the main themes on the bilateral agenda, such as investment promotion and technical cooperation, as well as regional and international themes of mutual interest.
Brazil and Angola established a strategic partnership in 2010. In the period 2009-2013 Brazil's trade with that country increased 35.9%, from US$ 1,47 billion to US$ 1,99 billion. In 2003, Brazil was the fourth largest supplier to the Angolan market. In 2014, through the month of April, trade exchange totals US$ 404 million.
