The Brazilian government expresses its solidarity with the people and the government of Lebanon for those killed and injured by the massive explosions at the port of Beirut today.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the events in the Lebanese capital and is ready to provide the appropriate consular assistance. Until now, there is no record of Brazilian nationals among those killed or severely injured.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to monitor the situation through the Embassy of Brazil in Beirut in coordination with the Consular Assistance Division, in Brasília.
