Two C-130 (Hercules) aircrafts of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) that rescued 66 Brazilians stranded in Cuzco, Peru, landed this Wednesday (25) afternoon in Porto Velho, capital city of Rondonia state.

The planes made a technical stop in Porto Velho, with no disembarkation of passengers, and continued onward to São Paulo.

The operation, determined by the President of the Republic Jair Bolsonaro, is a coordinated action by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Brazilian government, through its Foreign Ministry’s diplomatic and consular network, continues to monitor the situation of Brazilian travelers abroad and is working to repatriate them all.
