The Ministry of Agriculture received today a notification from the Ecuadorian authorities informing of the acceptance of the International Zoosanitary Certificate proposed by Brazil for the export of live cattle, thus concluding negotiations for the opening of that market, which began in 2014.

In 2018, Brazil exported $535 million in live cattle to all continents, in addition to $6.5 billion in beef. Exports of live animals diversify the Brazilian export agenda and offer an alternative for farmers all over the country.

Brazil's advance in the live cattle market testifies to the high genetic standard and quality of Brazilian animals and a recognition of international confidence in Brazilian agricultural defense.
