The minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and the Togolese Abroad, Robert Dussey, will pay an official visit to Brazil on June 17 and 18.
In Brasília, the Togolese foreign minster will be hosted in a working meeting by the minister of Foreign Affairs, ambassador Ernesto Araújo. During the meeting, the two minsters will discuss regional and international themes and ways to strenghten bilateral partnership. They will also address issues including joint efforts to fight piracy within the scope of the Gulf of Guinea Inter-regional Coordination Center (ICC), bilateral technical cooperation in the development of the local cotton sector and implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ratified by Togo in December 2018).
The embassy of the Togolese Republic in Brasília, opened in October 2015, is the only of that country in South America.
