On May 10, minister of Foreign Affairs Ernesto Araújo will visit Poland, where he will be received by president Andrzej Duda and will hold meetings with foreign minister Jacek Czaputowicz and with the Chief of Cabinet of the President of Poland, Krzysztof Szczerski. Minister Araújo will also deliver a lecture at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM).
During the visit, themes of the international agenda and ways to strenghten bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of economy, trade defense and political cooperation in international forums, will be addressed.
Poland’s economy has gained momentum over the past years. Today its GDP exceeds $ 1 trillion, and the volume of Polish investments in Brazil is rising. Bilateral trade is expected to further grow. In 2018, it showed a significant increase of 29 percent, totaling $ 1.5 billion.
In 2020, Brazil and Poland celebrate 100 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
