The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has granted its agrément to the appointment of Marcelo Souza Della Nina as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to that country. Ambassador Della Nina has been also granted agrément by the Republic of Yemen, to which he will be posted concurrently as non-resident ambassador. According to the Brazilian constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Marcelo Della Nina joined the Brazilian Foreign Service in 1993. He served at the Brazilian embassy in Mexico and at the Permanent Missions of Brazil to the European Economic Community and to the World Trade Organization. In Brazil, he worked at the Department of the Americas, the Under-Secretariat for Integration, Economic and Foreign Trade Affairs, and at the Division of the Free Trade Area of the Americas, as well as headed the General Coordination of Economic Organizations, the Trade Defense Division and the Intellectual Property Division.
