The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of Albania has granted its agrément to the appointment of Francisco Carlos Ramalho de Carvalho Chagas as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to that country. According to the Brazilian constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Francisco Carlos Ramalho de Carvalho Chagas entered the Brazilian Foreign Service as a chancery officer. As a diplomat, he has served at the Embassies of Brazil in Madrid, Montevideo, Tokyo and Buenos Aires, and at the Consulate-General in Chicago. Since 2013, he has served as Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Brazil in Budapest. In Brazil, he headed the Consular Division, the South American Economic Division and the General Coordination for Modernization.
