The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay will meet in Sao Paulo on Saturday, August 5, to discuss the enforcement of Mercosur's Ushuaia Protocol on Democratic Commitment on Venezuela.

The meeting will follow up the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Buenos Aires, on April 1, at which the rupture of the democratic order in Venezuela was verified, and the Mercosur Summit held in Mendoza, on July 21, when the Venezuelan Government was invited to consultations under the Ushuaia Protocol.

The Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay will assess the absence of concrete measures for the resumption of  democratic normality by the Venezuelan Government, its refusal to attend the consultation meetings and the worsening of the situation in Venezuela.
