The Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel, will be hosted by the President of the Republic, Dilma Rousseff, in Brasília on June 15.
The Heads of Government will examine the intensification of the Strategic Partnership between Brazil and Germany and will address the expansion of bilateral trade and investment flow, as well as the main themes on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation in innovation, education and energy.
They will also discuss the reform of global governance institutions and issues regarding international peace and security and the safety of electronic communications.
Trade between Brazil and Germany reached US$ 21.7 billion in 2013. Germany is Brazil's largest trading partner in Europe and the fourth largest trading partner after China, the United States and Argentina.
