The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of Ghana has granted its agrément to the appointment of Maria Elisa Teófilo de Luna as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to that country. According to the Brazilian constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Maria Elisa Teófilo de Luna is the Consul General of Brasil in Montreal. During her career, she was Ambassador of Brazil to Senegal and served at the Embassies of Brazil in Belgium, Panama, Cuba, the United Arab Emirates and the Consulates in Asuncion and Milan. She has served in Brazil, among other positions, as the head of the Africa I Division (current Central and Western Africa Division) and of the Immigration Division.
