The President of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), Enrique García, is visiting Brasilia today, March 20. He will be received by Minister Aloysio Nunes, who will deliver him the award of the National Order of the Southern Cross, in recognition of the importance to Brazil of his work at the head of CAF. President García, who heads the institution since 1991, will end his last term at the end of March.

CAF is one of the leading multilateral development banks operating in Brazil and in Latin America. In the period 2011-2015, the institution approved US$ 9 billion in financing to Brazil, destined for public and private projects.
