The Brazilian Government has completed the donation of 70,000 doses of rabies vaccines to Bolivia. The shipment of donated vaccines arrived in Santa Cruz de la Sierra last Wednesday in the evening (January 18th).
The vaccines will be part of a campaign by the Bolivian Government to fight dog rabies in departments bordering Brazil, where an increasing number of contaminated animals have been reported. The cooperation also involves the exchange of experts.
Brazil and Bolivia hold permanent dialogue on health issues. A working group on border health issues is being formed to identify and tackle problems that may affect the border zones between the two countries.
