The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe has granted its agrément to the appointment of Vilmar Rogeiro Coutinho Junior as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil in that country. According to the Brazilian Constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.

Throughout his diplomatic career, Vilmar Coutinho Junior Rogeiro has served in the Embassies in Havana, Pretoria, London and Algiers, and in the Brazilian delegations to ALADI and to international organizations based in London. In Brazil, among other positions, he was Adviser for International Affairs of the Ministry of Sports.
