The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of Hungary has granted its agrément to the appointment of Maria Laura da Rocha as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil in that country. According to the Brazilian Constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Current Representative of Brazil to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization – FAO, Maria Laura da Rocha was Permanent Delegate of Brazil to UNESCO between 2010 and 2013, besides having served at the Embassies of Brazil in Paris, Rome and Moscow. In Brazil, she was Chief-of-Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Secretary of Diplomatic Planning. She also worked at the Ministry of Science and Technology and at the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs.
