The Uruguayan Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, and of Industry, Energy and Mining, Carolina Cosse, will be hosted in Brasilia, on December 9, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, and the Minister of Development, Industry and Trade, Armando Monteiro.
On the occasion, the minutes of the concluded negotiations over the Brazil-Uruguay Automotive Agreement, which establishes free trade in the sector, will be signed. The Ministers will also hold a work meeting to address the main themes on the bilateral and regional commercial agendas.
In 2014, bilateral trade with Uruguay reached a record high of US$ 4.863 million, of which US$ 633 million derived from the automotive sector.
