The Republic of Mozambique celebrates today the 40th anniversary of its independence.
On the celebrations in Maputo on the occasion, the Brazilian Government will be represented by the Minister-Chief of the Secretariat for Policies on the Promotion of Racial Equality, Mrs. Nilma Lino Gomes.
Relations of great fraternity and fruitful cooperation unite Brazil and Mozambique. Mozambique, today, is not only the biggest beneficiary of projects of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, but also the destination of significant volume of Brazilian investments. Portuguese-speaking sister nation, Mozambique is an important partner and interlocutor of Brazil at the bilateral, bi-regional and international levels.
In 2015, in which the 40 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations is also celebrated, the Brazilian Government congratulates the people and Government of Mozambique on the achievements since independence and reiterates the desire that relations between the two countries continue to strengthen increasingly in mutual benefit.
