In the international sphere, the Brazilian Government has advocated in different fora, especially in the Financial G-20, on the importance of employment and social protection policies in facing the international economic crises.
Brazil is committed to promoting the International Labor Organization Decent Work Agenda internationally. It is also one of the main providers of South-South trilateral cooperation in partnership with the ILO, with projects in several countries.
Moreover, Brazil has led international debates on the eradication of the worst practices, especially slave labour and child labour. In October 2013, Brazil hosted the 3rd Global Conference on Child Labour, with the participation of 154 countries – when the Brasília Declaration on Child Labour was adopted.
