Born in Rio de Janeiro, ambassador Marzano joined the diplomatic career in January 1989. He graduated from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) with a degree in Engineering.
At the ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has worked at the internal control, trade promotion, administration, consular and cultural areas.
His first foreign posting was the Embassy of Brazil in Madrid between 1994 and 1997. Following that, he served at the embassies in Lima and Caracas. In 2003 he returned to Brazil, where he held the position of Advisor to the Secretary General of Cooperation, Culture, Trade Promotion and Consular Affairs for 4 years. From 2007 to 2010, he served at the Embassy of Brazil in Washington. Between 2010 and 2011, he headed the Trade Promotion Programs Division and, from 2011 to 2013, he was Advisor to the Secretary General. He received awards from the Army and the Air Force. He has also been awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Rio Branco.
