The Cooperation Programme Brazil-Grenada has as its legal framework the Basic Agreement on Technical Cooperation, Science and Technology, in force since February 2010. In this context, cooperation activities were carried out in the areas of agriculture and health, in order to develop the productive chain for domestic markets and to promote the exchange of experiences on health information systems between the two countries. Moreover, Grenada has taken part in the courses offered by Brazil to the CARICOM countries.
The then Foreign Minister, Luiz Figueiredo Machado, met with the then Grenadian Foreign Minister Nickolas Steele in Georgetown in May 2014, parallel to the Foreign Ministers meeting of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). In June of that year, Foreign Minister Nickolas Steele made an official visit to Brazil, when the Note Exchange Agreement on Short stay Visa Waiver was signed.
