The Kingdom of Morocco
The Embassy of Brazil in Rabat was installed in 1963. The Embassy of Morocco in Brazil was opened in 1967. Brazil has the status of privileged partner of Morocco. The two countries have, since 1999, a political consultation mechanism.
High level visits exchange has been more frequent since the 2000’s. In 2008, Foreign Minister Celso Amorim visited the country to co-host the 1st Joint Commission Meeting). In 2011, Foreign Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota visited Rabat and, in 2013, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco, Saad Eddine El-Othmani, visited Brasília. In 2016, Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira visited Rabat, when he held a meeting with Foreign Minister Salaheddine Mezouar.

1906 – Establishment of diplomatic relations; the Brazilian representation to Morocco is created, cumulative with the Embassy of Brazil in Lisbon
1963 – Opening of the Embassy of Brazil in Rabat
1967 – Opening of the Embassy of Morocco in Brasília
1975 – Signature of agreement on regular air transportation between the two countries
1980 – Visit to Brazil of the Prime Minister of Morocco, Maati Bouabide
